2. Who was Pakshi Lakshamana Sastry? How was the relation between Pakshi Lakshamana Sastry and Kalam’s father? What does the relationship signify? 1+1+4

Prose: Three Questions

1.Forgive me. – Who said this and to whom? Why did the speaker beg forgiveness? What was the reaction of the person spoken to?1+3+2

2. “You have already been answered.” – Who is the speaker here? Who has already been answered? How did the speaker explain the answer?

Prose: Thank you Ma’am

1. “Eat some more, son.” – who is the speaker? What is offered by the speaker to the listener? What picture of the Speaker’s character is revealed in this line? 1+1+4

2. I were young ones …. – Who said this and to whom? How did the speaker explain her experience of young age? 1+5

Poem: On Killing a Tree

2. The source, white and wet. — What does the word source refer to here? How does the poet describe the source? 1+5
